If you looked deep into my eyes,

If you looked past all the lies,

You’d be surprised to see

A tiny grey window in each

Lifeless eye - just out of reach

Behind it is the ocean of my thoughts.

 

And if you have a true soul,

You could look down that hole,

Softly take a peek at my heart,

So you know what, on the other side

Of my tiny, two grey windows I hide.

Cause if you really have a true soul,

 

Then I don’t mind revealing

The darkness of mine, the feeling

Of hope is enough for me

As I stare at your eyes, full of light

From the other side of the white

Tiny, lifeless window in each eye.
