Just a poem I guess

I can play a bit of piano, but I can also play piano tiles
I can fake smile, but I haven’t really smiled in a while
Sunlight gleaming off a purple playground slide
Sunlight gleaming off everyone’s eyes
but mine

We all have our legs crossed
but some of us force them open
some of us pretend to be feeling okay

We all have problems
but some of us
prefer to blend in

I’m just a soul passing through
passing on without a clue
I earned myself a pretty little penny but I always spend it the second I get it
I can’t hold on

i am intrigues by the alliteration...and the allusions to the maturity to be into the arts, yet still want to be the innocent child in the playground, and then the legs crossed as in the child and then growing up and what happens and the pretending..which we learn as we grow..
and that penny...trying to hold onto it, to me, represents how we try to hold on to life
but it passes through just like we do....
