Sunset Asteroid

Sunset Asteroid

A Poem by Xena Rose

The red Japanese Maple tree on the top of the hill asks, "should I take the white or tan pill?"

I tell him neither, his leaves are much sweeter than any silly capsule could ever amend.

I swing on his branches and bask in his shade before coming to a scary realization.

His leaves are just red because he's already dead and i'm the meteorite on vacation.
