Swallowing SmokeA Poem by Authoresssmol·der /ˈsmōldər/ verb burn slowly with smoke but no flame
Breathe to me
The wings of fiery Heavens to stay unseen Inside their clouds Lungs hold fire Breath breeds desire To swallow smoke Is to smolder Sing to me The silver melodies That spin their way through trees In quiet crowds Hearts hold fire Everyone is desire To swallow smoke Is to smolder You don't own your shadow Any more than he owns life; You know you want your darkness And he knows he wants your light. I'm smoldering I'm smoldering I'm smoldering And fire will light the air And apathy will care I'm waiting to be doused I'm smoldering I'm smoldering I'm smoldering © 2014 AuthoressFeatured Review
