Light In My Universe

Inspired by the song "All that you are" by the Goo Goo Dolls

In the center of my universe,

the star barely shines

and there is darkness. 

But then out of nowhere, 

there was you. 

In the mourning of my dowerness

and the evening of my hardships, 

You're the sun that shines my way 

into your way. 

Brighting up our world. 

Your x-ray vision sees through 

my body of covers. 

Revealing the broken bones of my dark past 

and the red heart of my humanity.  

You're the one. 

Before you, I was alone in the dark 

and the fear was my tomb.

But you brought me back to life 

with your light of embathy. 

You're the sound of redemption. 

The faith that I've lost. 

The answer to my questions embracing life 

and relieing on love. 

You taught me the meaning of forgiveness 

by giving your love back to me. 

You're the light of my universe.
