Someone who's not me

Wouldn't it be 

just lovely 

if I could be 

someone who's not me.

Start over from scratch 

recreate the past 

find love that lasts 

not move so fast 

not make old mistakes 

change, rearrange 

with a different stage 

I'd surely amaze. 

If I cold pretend 

I'm starting again 

no past, no men

clean canvas and pen. 

Things would be swell

life wouldn't be hell 

I'd change the whole tale 

If I could be someone else

someone who's not me.

Great use of words to make sense of each line ...

Loved how the poem ended..It had a good flow to it which i loved..
