DoubtsA Poem by Ayanda MtetoWhen mist fogs a traveller is lost.Fear
absorbs courage Hold
thoughts in wait for nothing to happen Icy
cold feet, but a Penguin
await to fly the ocean Swim
into the shores isle of treasure Within
all of us Await
a step to be taken searching dreams Closed
eyes see Visions
of a hero ridding a battle to conquer But the
fight is long Soon
fear rest inside a valiant heart Incarcerated
by failed ambition never burnt touch Never
took fight to grace the sky Just
tears heart cries A baby
that has not yet learn the language of a mother The
soothing arms Gently
caressing the harsh world We
give up easily Our Dreams Nested
by cowardice ridiculed our blossoming self Fragile
and strong © 2012 Ayanda Mteto |
