The hollow crown

The hollow crown

A Poem by Ayesha Faiz
"

A haunting poem that explores crumbling truths, blind faith, and the quiet fading of love and memory.

"
"The Hollow Crown"

We drink from wells that rot with lies,
We paint our graves beneath blue skies.
We call the ash a sacred flame,
We carve out gods and give them blame.

The sweetest songs are sung by dust,
The brightest steel will break from rust.
We build with words that rot and fall,
And crown the deaf to hear us call.

The world forgets the truths it knew "
And so, my love, will I " and you.

Anytime Ayesha!! 🤗🤗🤗
Hi again, Ayesha 🌾

I think you've a wonderfully blossoming poetic mind, overflowing with wise philosophy and intelligence beyond your years.

Life for you has, obviously, been quite complex, teaching a vast share of unforgettably, deep, impacting lessons. And, lucky for us, you've the poetic voice capable enough to breath it to life, sending it to our appreciatively compassionate hearts … all through the magic of metaphor, smoothly flowing syntax, emotive power, imagery, and spot-on rhymes, etc.

From title to introduction, presentation, and all around poetic excellence, your pen has once again danced upon the page, mystifying and treating us to another of your heart touching pieces.

"The world forgets the truths it knew …
And so, my love, will I -- and, You."
This final verse (to me) epitomizes the ambiance of your poem's sad, awakening messages.

Kudos to you, Poetess, and a huge THANKS for sharing You with Us! ⁓ Richard🖌

Ofc, it'll be an honorable pleasure for me to do so.
truths are meant to be forgotten, re-reminded and then forgotten again, it has been the history repeated , like wave
or maybe a ripple
we need stones to re-create them
its all transient
its all subjective
its all good for the moment and needs push to get it back

"hollow" indeed. sharply said. disturbing descriptions. the world has become so twisted that most don't even know what is true anymore if they ever did. "It takes two to speak the truth: one to speak, and another to hear." - thoreau
