Fragments of the heart

Fragments of the heart

A Poem by Ayesha Faiz
"

A quiet reflection on love, loss, and the fleeting nature of joy, where even pain holds meaning.

"
"Fragments of the Heart"
Life dances softly on the edge of time,
We search for joy, but it's a fleeting climb.
Happiness blooms, then fades away,
Like sunlit hours at the end of day.

Love, a fire that burns so bright,
Leaves us cold in the endless night.
The heart breaks, yet still it beats,
A fractured rhythm that never repeats.

Perhaps we love to feel the pain"
A fleeting warmth before the rain.
For in the sorrow, we find the truth,
Life is both broken and the proof.

Ayesha, you have truly become one of my most favorite writers. I love your line: perhaps we love to feel the pain and the following lines. You seem wise beyond your years. May I ask how you acquired your perfect grasp of English? Do you write in other languages?

Hello, Ayesha 🌸

I think you've selected a great title and artwork choice for this wise, knowing, and excellently composed poem.
Yet, the poignant ambiance of your skillfully laid words both break my heart and make it sing.

Though, many may know the truths you've shared, few have the wherewithal to understand them so clearly, or the aptitude to format them into such a masterful poem as you have here.

"Perhaps, we love to feel the pain …
a fleeting warmth before the rain.
For, in sorrow we find truth;
life is both broken and the proof."

Quite brilliant, Ayesha … how thankful I am to have shared this.
With sincere thanks! ⁓ Richard🖌

Glad my words spoke to you. Thank you!

A poem that many readers will relate to. Love can sadly be fleeting. Can fade like a summer rose. Your final stanza conveys the heartache of loss well. I enjoyed reading your fine poetry Ayesha.
