Wounds with wings

Wounds with wings

A Poem by Ayesha Faiz
"

“Wounds with Wings” is a short, emotional poem about finding beauty in pain and strength in struggle. It shows how even sorrow can lead to light.

"
“Wounds with Wings”

I’ve held hands with silence in the middle of storms,
Learned that pain has a voice when the world feels warm.
Not all scars bleed " some simply hum,
A quiet reminder of what we’ve become.

Life doesn’t ask, it simply arrives,
With broken clocks and blooming skies.
And somehow, in the ache, I see "
Even sorrow sings sweet poetry.

So I walk, not to escape the rain,
But to dance with it, and rename my pain.
For even cracked hearts hold golden light "
They just learn to shine through longer nights.

I like the rhyming in this, the rhyming words used do not feel forced and they feel related as well as being rhyming: arrives skies, I imagined clouds arriving,

One bit which felt odd is : holding hands with silence in the middle of storms and how does the world feel warm when its stormy?

not all scars bleed, some only hum is interesting

Sorrow always sings sweet poetry, most of the comedy that we see or enjoy is rooted in someone elses pain, its a classic contradiction,

overall, I like the related wordings used for rhyming in this one. thank you for sharing this

this is a beautiful piece of a write. the way you express, the pain, the scars, the life and the way you shape and rename pain. There is positivity in it that struck me and gives someone all hope to come out stronger through a crisis. finding beauty in pain, takes strength. All 3 stanzas are powerfully expressed and flow effortlessly. These lines are so apt, and resonate so much, so true.
