Hypocrisy found me on the dance floor

Hypocrisy found me on the dance floor

A Poem by Azakhiwe Dilinga

Peer pressure
never made diamonds.

Regret always finds me
not wearing my own shoes.

Life is hard
but lies
makes it unbearable.

Hypocrisy
spilled shame
on my sleeves.

When I was about to ask life
for a second dance.

As we grow up, we are vulnerable to the world's hypocritical standards. When we recognize them, we can move beyond them. In that way, they can be a part of our growth.
