The Thirteen Year Old Space PioneerA Poem by AzariekChildhood is fleeting fast--sometimes it's good to hold on.Look out below, I'm floating here, The 13-year-old Space pioneer.
Hey mom--I just passed Saturn, The only thing that made me turn, Was when he asked “Hey what're you doin' here? You 13-year-old space pioneer?”
Look--There's Pluto now, Boy, does he look sad; But he turned and waved when he saw me pass, “Be careful here,” he shouted fast, “13-year-old space pioneer!”
I floated and floated, Far away. Past the edges, Of the Milky Way. And past every flying rock I saw, Every turning planet I passed, I would turn and wave, my voice sincere, “I'm a 13-year-old Space Pioneer!” © 2011 AzariekAuthor's Note
