Ship Wrecked

Ship Wrecked

A Poem by B-GORE123

I remember a day
when the words spilled from my mouth
saying "I will never trust a sailor
to help me find my way home"
but when trapped inside
a wave crashed sea
I let you take over and begin to steer.

You watched me as I hung my feet
until my legs were long enough
for the waves to engulf my ankles
and I watched as you took control
steering a boat called Forever.

But the storms came and our boat began to break
and before you lost complete control
I jumped off that ship called Forever
and drowned alone with a school of fish.

And I never forgot that sailor
who broke my waves
and crashed my ship
But I never got a chance to tell him
that I loved him.

I drowned too quickly.
