As The Keen Observer

I’ve lost faith in mankind

I need to find

A higher power to restore

My belief system

A working epiphany in progress

For the time being

It’s disheartening to see

What has been choking

The best of my dreams to death

While I’m in the mist of fading within obscurity

The land of impurities

Tarnished the efforts

Of my chosen undertaker

Even though

He was ordered to do so

The powers that be

Canceled the chance to forgo

The burial of my dignified

Substantiated character

I earned during my life’s tenure
