Life (A Burden or A Privilege)A Poem by B-poetThe entry date for my inception Was no less an invitation To experience the privilege Of carrying the weight of a burden Unheard of for certain The final curtain call Will be initiated Since I was cast By conception and not chance For this life long play The lessons embodied Within my script Will be carried out without any delay Keeping me on cue In terms of my purpose To emulate what’s true on the surface So the cycles and signs of life Remain concurrent And further renewed While the joy of this undertaking Will leave a clue As the sun goes down In plain view On my final day When my last breath Will be taken tried and true Out of the blue A real question was asked By my conscience Not vast in suffrage At what age? Will the final page be turned As the book of life becomes closed forever What’s left to uncover After we’re returned to the earth And exposed to the Weatherly elements Are we for sure Hell bound or Heaven sent A point now proven to represent that life is a privilege In disguise as wayward why For giving birth to death The afterlife has to mesh with our physical presence for certain So we can be released from our living burden As present day superficial humans © 2018 B-poetReviews
