Is an aura

Of a possible existence

Authentic enough

To dispel

Mystic proportions

Casting a spell

Of detrimental karma

On anyone

Who dares too

Stare & Witness

Its metamorphosis

From within

Clearly for the purpose

Of clarifying 

A rare lesson & focus

As to why it's interior shell

Represents a new beginning

 

Offsetting the sight

Of parasites who need to feast

Off its valuable limbs

Forever ceases

Their insatiable hunger

For insignificance

After a birthed inner peace 

Amongst every parasite achieved

A cherished goal to conform & exist

Within a world full of savages

Who love signifying

Practices of fraudulence

After embellishing in their own 

Desired & Coveted sunrise's

During an era of modern day pestilence

Interesting.. Again.. I feel a bit of wordplay being enacted in this piece. -wondering who are the locusts exactly- what makes me think this? "During their era of modern day pestilence" Locusts are an ancient insect. To some, harbingers of famine and plague. Now here (where I am) we call then Cicadas. I grew up with trees full of them. Love the sound of them buzzing. Have heard it all my life. :)

I like this. I really do. I know this is your style of preferred writing. I'd just like to see you mix it up a bit. Branch out a little and give other poetic forms a try. Show a broader scope of what you are capable of. -says the not so good poet- -cheesy grin-
