Shadowy Disposition

Shadowy Disposition

A Poem by B-poet

A dark entity seen

As a free flowing

Misty

Shadowy outline

At night

As he walked by

Stirring up

Much controversy

As to who or why

This figure of a man

Had appeared to be

Flying by

Instilling fear in

Anyone who dared

To stare eye to eye

With him

No longer kept

Their soul

After he stole it

From them

Distinguishing his coveted role

Within the depths

Of his chosen

Mystic darkness

Surrounding his essence

For existing

Favored the legendary myth

Of the Shadowy Disposition

That never left witnesses

After he'd finished

Working

The Grave Yard Shift

Protecting his turf

From cemetery misfits

Who were always cleverly

Disguised as normal mournful

Everyday working class citizens

I'm a fan of dark poems, so I really like it. I like how yo wrote it without commas and kinda make reading it intense as it builds up. however it felt like the intensity fell down quickly... as still its great :)

Very good. It shifted at the end. At first it seemed the shadowy figure was the embodiment of evil, then it shifted to those visiting the grave, disguised as normal everyday people. Who is the real culprit here? Did you mean it to be that way?

Very good description, and dark. this could be a great thing to read on Halloween.
