I find this an interesting piece; curious in some parts, but definitely has something to say. I like the cinematic references as well.

I had Jim Morrison singing in my ear as I read this: the future's uncertain, the end is always near...it's different but I like it :)

This reads almost like a fairy tale story to me.. And yet it is not. Time is the true master. What do we do with the time that we have? What do we wish to be? Will you spend it in selfish pursuits? Selfless pursuits? Or a mix of both? Not all caterpillars are able to become butterflies. For some, the time expires a bit earlier than they planned.
