What's Next On The Horizon

What's Next On The Horizon

A Poem by B-poet

If you could look back

In your rear view mirror

As an outsider looking in

What kind of a spin

Would you place

On your destiny

As the sun rises in the east

And sets in the west

What's Next On The Horizon

For you

Since life's daily tests

Have beget all personal regrets

Never leaving behind

No trace of rememberance

After a benign experience

Signified why

Every forgotten regret

Could finally

Bask in the graciousness

Of yesterdays' forgiving sunsets

Your profile picture caught my eye, reminding me of where I live in New Mexico. This poem also reminds me of my life, very well done.

You capture the whole of the reader. It fascinates, it impersonates, it resonates. It makes everything happen while reading. A fantastic read. Keep it up! :)

we all get caught in nostalgia occasionally, but how can we create the next chapter when we keep rereading the one before? i loved this piece and it's simplicity of just "what comes next"

I wish to "bask in the graciousness of yesterday's forgiving sunsets", everyday... it's a continuing battle for me to do so. Thank you for writing such a spectacular message of "What's next on the horizon".

I like the idea of wondering what kind of spin one would place on their destiny...the sun's recurring image is wonderfully handled as well...very nicely done :)
