Emotional Reprieve

Emotional Reprieve

A Poem by B-poet

We're tired of

Wearing our own hearts

On our sleeve's

Just to fake

Being emotionally free

With ease

What we all need

Is a chance to find

A live in retreat

Disguised as a feat

Towards obtaining

A morale boosting

Emotional Reprieve

emotional reprieve would be ideal at the moment...i need one of those. just some time to relax and stop worrying about everything thrown at us by the world! great short poem with a lot of good meaning- well done!

An emotional reprieve would be nice, give us something new to write about as we regenerate our moxy...good read!

One's fight to be free is like fighting one's own shadow sometimes...if only we could retreat from it...I like the way you've evoked this dilemma, well done :)

It does feel like this at times - we say, or write, what we want others to think we are feeling, but our true emotions stay locked away. Well done!

Nice. emotions really do send us on a chaotic journey. nice work. the flow was a little shaky but somehow it works.
Did you mean " a life in retreat"?

:0) much love

You are right... I agree, we need to release the burden... This is an insightful piece. The one true thing we have is the knowledge of our own hearts...how we truly feel, that's what matters most. Nicely done!
