Revenge usually does carry a measure of positivity, it's just not the kind that carries any redeeming virtues with it...it has a shelf life...I like the curt bluntness of this, well done :)
One lost dream must be replaced by another, as that is how we survive! If we are unable to meet a goal then we should resolve to make an attempt to meet it again. It is only when we are able to overcome the disappointments of life that the sting of bitterness may be healed with a balm of victory! It is redemption that conquers revenge!
Nicely penned!
while i was reading this i am reminded of my experiences with dancing: there is so much rejection and so many points where dreams go up in smoke, but the best thing to do is use that to push you forward and achieve better!
the words "positively involved" begin to sound a bit like a news article, so if you're open to changes i would toy around with that line :)
i really like how concise this is, but still makes you really think- great work! keep avenging the animosity with positivity!
any good christian will tell you that vengeance belongs only to christ....man is too vengeful to serve that master....my personal take on this is that vengeance is wasted energy, it proves and solves nothing other than that we can be vengeful....terrific write.
For some reason, this reminded me of the demolition of a Las Vegas casino...you know, how they implode them and they come down in a linear line of dust and debris without touching anything around them? This is a bit like watching a dream go up in smoke; something we have worked so long to achieve and it impoldes, leaving us bitter and pained, and yet those around us are often unaffected. Beautiful imagery in this one.
