If You Could Speed Up Time (What Else Would You Rather Be Doing) – Conclusion

If You Could Speed Up Time (What Else Would You Rather Be Doing) – Conclusion

A Poem by B-poet

A previously

Intriguing question

From a promising prelude

Has opened up

A suggestion box

In response to this particular motion

If You Could Speed Up Time (What Else Would You Rather Be Doing)

In a constantly & ever-changing world

Some like to work

Others love to gamble

Most advocate a aura

Of self preservation

But this notion of sorts

Varies from person to person

What hobby lies quiescent

Within the center

Of your hearts desires & devotional ties

To the spirit of speeding up time

(What Else Would You Rather Be Doing)

With your life

The coveted answer remains within this inquiring question

Why ask Why

For the purpose of seeking out your time's alibi?

A very thought provoking piece that raises important questions. I love the imagery portrayed here and your closing lines brought it all together with a powerful "time's alibi" Definitely a favorite.

very interesting question to pose. The challenge is to act upon that which you'd rather be doing.

ah i love that this poem has a second part! i would love if you elaborated on the suggestions from the suggestion box a little more so we can really see the unique images of what people would rather be doing. really though, great work here. i especially love those last two lines- very powerful.

A good follow-up to your original question, BP. Why ask why, indeed...
