Live Like There's No Tomorrow

Live Like There's No Tomorrow

A Poem by B-poet

What if tomorrow

Never existed

And you were

Confined within a field

Of probable causes

Decisions had to made

At a fast pace

Where making gains

Instead of loses

By finding buried treasures

Hidden under the surfaces

Of reality's turf

Were worth more

In sense rather than dollars

If you can take a hint

To Live Like There's No Tomorrow

Because on this playing field

Money has no value

In real time regarding

A declining lifespan

Of the borrower or the beholder

For the sake of sanity's proportionate relevance

In terms of carrying out

The plans for longevity's benefiting purposes

I'd go see the Conjuring and tell my husband I love him :) Not necessarily in that order, hehe. In all seriousness, great poem on a great subject. We should always live this way. Because in reality there is no guarantee that there will be a tomorrow.

This was a nice poem.. I have one suggestion..

"Hidden under the surfaces
Of reality's turf
Were worth more
In sense rather than dollars"
"To Live Like There's No Tomorrow"

I got this right away so I thought these lines took away from it a bit..
" I didn’t mean dollars & cents
If you can take a hint"

thank you for the rr... shallimarRose

That's exactly what we have to do. Live every day like it's our last, this is a really important message, BP - Really well worded, too.

An often heard and important message, well worded in this piece. Tomorrow is guaranteed to no one - love today... :)

Money has no value
In real time regarding
A declining lifespan....... profound philosophy told simply . Loved the piece :)

I've always said this to people...live today as if it were your last day and you will never be disappointed. Of course, this is easier said (or mused upon) than done. If I died tonight, though, I think I could go sweetly in the knowing that I was known and my spirit would linger on in the words I have left behind.

Thought provoking as always; you write lessons with your poetry :)

i like the feeling expressed in this...that money is not what it is about....there are other treasures in life...many more...

and it isn't until time becomes a factor that we start worrying about living life to the fullest...as is when i am in NC...visiting my girlfriend and my folks...the last few days always seem the most special...we try to make such use of the time.

nicely done..i like abstract...
