Poem #300 Unlocking The Door Of Literary Immortality

Poem #300 Unlocking The Door Of Literary Immortality

A Poem by B-poet

So many poetic keys

Have been tried towards

Unlocking The Door Of Literary Immortality

It's quite fitting

Since beckoning upon

Such a reputable honor

Translates a scripted distinction by far

As one lone poetic key

Will open this sanctioned door

Of heightened written creativity

I've been dying to explore & see

What my literary legacy will be

Once this personalized rhetorical corridor

Will be closed off completely

Forever conveniently

Unless becoming a fore bearer of literacy

Leads me to being momentarily

Within written history

As A Literary Chaplain

In charge of a poetic prophecy

Who made it happen

To grace humanity

With the presence

Of his prestigious writings

So Unlocking The Door Of Literary Immortality

Shall remain open permanently

For all advocates to witness

In the wake of a meaningful epiphany

Heard behind Poem #300's Masterpiece Curtain

As we speak upon a coveted influential

Legitimate legacy

Now presently in the making

As A Literary Chaplain

I think you and I see the creation of art and the role of the artist in very similar light. Fantastic write.

My hat's off to you for achieving you goal! I like the idea behind this poem too. Who decides what makes the cut? There is always an audience for writing. Go forth and make your mark :)

We all hope for literary immortality....we hope our words will live long after we have left this earth. I think we have to just be happy there are forums such as this one where poets can share their thoughts and get comments from other poets. I enjoyed this poem .....it made me think. Lydi**

A Literary Chaplain
In charge of a poetic prophecy...

An interesting concept - is this what we strive to be? Encompassing the spiritual nature of poetry...

Interesting write here, my friend...though I'm not sure I completely understand it. I see the references to literary immortality, and I understand the implications of the write...I think. For me, this is an observation on whether publication and distribution truly makes a poet immortal. Whether the printing of a piece within a journal or book actually means that a poet has reached a level of transcendence...or whether it is just another drop in the bucket. Anyway...slightly lost on this one, but I do love the beat and flow of the words and the way that you bring the idea from start to finish.
