It's a perilous

Ending hike

Up a steep incline

Testing the outer limits

Of your will to survive

A climb

More distinctive than anything else

You've had to contrive it

As formidable feat

Defying wayward eyes

In awe of what has transpired

It's frivolous

To think about

Dropping down to the bottom

After making it halfway up

A treacherous & rocky slope

You've realized

A conquering desire has started

An inability to stop

Being daring because

The Climb Is More Significant Than Reaching The Mountain Top
