A Devout Requiem

A Devout Requiem

A Poem by B-poet

Pews filled

With believer's

In need of an ascension

Faith based creed

Eternal Eternity

Is the name of

The holy chapel

Where on the inside

Every Sunday

Hymn's are sung

Along with gospel epistle's

Loud enough to be heard

From a symbolic podium

In the midst of

A reveling congregation

Consciously now

The stage has been set

Within their own minds

They'll always favor

A Devout Requiem

After a beautiful sunset

Paints the picture

Of an everlasting life

Beyond what words just can't describe

For the near & present future

"After a beautiful sunset

Paints the picture

Of an everlasting life

Beyond what words just can't describe

For the near & present future"~ This is what the devoted envision "of an everlasting life", and therefore, will hold on to their faith...
A thought provoking write...Well penned, Bpoet!~xoxo~

Life is a mystery but death all the more
we suspend all sorts of disbelief
if only someone will tell us the score

Intriguing write.

I liked the lines:

In need of an ascension
Faith based creed
Eternal Eternity

What would we do if we believed in nothing at all?
Good write.
