Why Turn Your Back On What Could Be

Why Turn Your Back On What Could Be

A Poem by B-poet

It's engaging

As an epic portrait

Where the sight of

A monumental experience

Is worth capturing

Beyond it's intricate meaning

Of self importance

Yet in a split second

There's a decision to be made

Will you covet

What's truly at stake

Or will you inevitably

Fall victim too regrets

Brought on by self sabotage

Along with hesitant credibility

Why Turn Your Back On What Could Be

Positively commencing

Within in your life

As time ticks away

Towards an irrevocable reality

Which can't be changed

Once our earthly hourglass

Empties forever in a day

Indeed, time waits for no one. The time for trying something new and starting a new adventure is right now. There's plenty of time for regrets, but opportunities are limited in this world. Very wise words in this one. I liked it. Lydi**

My favourite lines were:

As time ticks away
Towards an irrevocable reality
Which can't be changed
Once our earthly hourglass
Empties forever in a day

I love the whole concept of the subject matter at hand...the choice to face one's fear or
let the precious time one has on this terrestrial planet, having that fear let you waste
all that energy, G_d given talents, and
Love to rule them, rendering one to live a life misery.

Wonderful use of vocabulary, with compelling imagery you wove through-out this poem.
Pleasing fluidity in each stanza. Amazing write, Bpoet, thanks for sharing! :)

This one flowed with some great ease. A good reminder to look forward and turn your back on fear.
