Appreciating The Open Road

Appreciating The Open Road

A Poem by B-poet

It's a special freedom

A few

Will relish to admit

The benefits

Of experiencing such an event

Traveling at a fast & vivid pace

With the wind blowing

In a jubilant face

Of spiritual contentment

Remains to be an

Endearing preview for

What every fine heart desire's

Since the wonderment of life

Is felt

By every soul searching driver

Who's approaching the beginning

Of a forever and a day journey

Yet it will only commence

When our driver's morale

Indefinitely starts

Appreciating The Open Road

I am shaking my head.

When our driver's morale
Indefinitely starts
Appreciating The Open Road

We are surrounded by so many blessing and opportunities for love; it's about appreciating them. One of my favourites this piece.

Most of the time, things don't go accordingly to plan -- but it's actually a good thing.
Appreciating the open road reminds me of the attitude we should all have.

When I was in college, I had this boyfriend...he was a bit of a "living on the edge" sort of guy. Anyway, he had two motorcycles. I, of course, knew how to ride, because my father was a motocross champion for many years, so we go out in the dead of night, no headlights, moon guiding the way... Well, we could have killed ourselves, but didn't. Just an empty country road that stretched for miles, no lights, and driving as fast as we possibly could; I'll always remember that. Anyway, your piece brought me back there. :)

Ah, the freedom of the open road....the wind having its way with my hair and my foot on the gas pedal of not only the car, but life. A great feeling expressed so well here. Liked the imagery. Lydi**
