This is one of those poems I've been thinking about writing for awhile now but I hadn't found the right time yet. Tonight felt like as good a night as any so I thought why not give it a try. Seems t

chatter tells it like you could use a friend my friend

a person to lean on, a person with dignity

rumor has it you need to see a certain smile again

coated less in angst and dishonor but one of hope and fruition

history shows your life's been a ride yet

does that make you justified in your ever spiraling detachment

possibly the past is labeled and filed away as it should be

so why is it you need someone to show you that

heard round the way you might need a friend my friend

you know it's up to you to feel who's loving you back

no person cares for you for no reason at all so

only you can allow such a blessing to exist.
