Little One (working title)

A lullaby I wrote for my stepdaughter and still sing to my new baby girl. Another mushy one, but so far thats all I can track down from my old writings

Rest your eyes
And close them tight
As I rock you
To sleep tonight

You've played all day
And had your fun
Now go to sleep sweet
Little one

 

The day's been long
And now it's o'er
Our time for playing
It is no more

But time for sleep
It now has come
So go to sleep dear
Little one

It is precious, and I love the repetition that you use in the three stanzas. I'm sure after they hear that they are fast asleep. It is great. I like Little One for a title.
