Paradise

I must prove my mettle 

It’s a constant battle 

Trials outmaneuver me

The process is unsavory 

But the glory to come is worth this story

The journey is thrilling and terrifying 

Something is gathering inside me!

I have given this scenery more than a passing thought.

It nags at me all day!

I desperately covet paradise 

I’m obsessed with the thought 

I can’t  afford to be a bystander..

I must participate

In spite of the turbulence…

there are many religious themes here that have a powerful impression. our longingness for heaven's grace, while understanding that our duty is on earth. this contrast is captivating. suffering is something one needs to undertake, even when it feels too much to endure. it is not a nice thought, but there is Truth to it. and knowing that reward awaits us in the next world is what ultimately gives us strength.

Motivation is good as long as it doesn't become obsession. By all means participate, but don't allow it to dominate your life. The cost can become dear.
