Snob

Snob

A Poem by Titilayo Sarah Eguridu
"

Satire

"
Somewhere in my subconscious
I challenge unhealthy cultures
They circle around like vultures
Seeking carcass
From fracas
Birthed by snobs
High, mighty and snooty,
Your kindness a booby trap.
I see through the charade...
You challenge the validity of your opponent's argument...civilly
Offer them viable options, make them feel comfortable before your snobbery spews through every pore of your skin.
You casually belittle them for...
Not being like you, not being educated enough, not sucking up to you....
You go on and on everytime,
Tell you what???
I have a mental metal map of your take down strategy...
The die is cast!
I take on the responsibility to bring you down to earth where we lesser mortals thrive.
The very thought of you being humbled inspires a twirl.
I promise you will swirl
In waters muddied by you.

God will debase the haughty somehow, will elevate in ranks the humble; It is a severe turnoff to people when they meet those arrogant ones. I have not met a great man or woman who were not humble, confident of themselves and comfortable in their own skin.
An excellent take on these attitudes.

You are most kind Grace.
Thank you.
So few are ever sure what their anger is about and from, and they must live and deal with it every day, everyway until they can't. This work speaks volumes and what more could one ask. Well spoken.

You are correct. You are welcome.
The snob may be too shallow to be aware of the reasons for his superiority complex, or possibly he uses it as a defense mechanism against feelings of inferiority. Either way, it is a delusional way of life.

I am partial to this poem....grew up where I saw a lot of this snobiness, entitlement and uppityness ...and I just longed for them to be put back down to earth.
No one is better than anyone else....we all matter....
