Chofu is a style of Poetry that was created by Steven Silvey, an author and great friend.  His style was first introduced here at writers café and was thought up on a whim.  Little did he know how popular Chofu would become.  Chofu was so popular that Charlie and Patrick was asked to it add to poetry styles category, with the other styles such as Haiku and Senryu  - wish granted.   The poetry style Chofu has since been dwindled down to only a few poems, because the rules are known by only a few of us, but Chofu was so much fun that I thought write about it and try to convey its rules into one poem.  Its was pretty easy to do since there’s only one rule (5-2-7-5-2-7- syllable count) other than that- the sky’s the limit.

Try one- they’re fun!

I've never heard of such a thing until just now...
Thank you for introducing it to me;
I think I'll give it a try

We all miss Steven. he was an amazing writer.

You did a great job here in creating this and telling us all the rules of a chofu! :) Thanks!

Your poem made me smile...very clever way to advertise.

I like how you combined the rule into a poem itself, as capturing the fun and feature that
brings such creativeness tolife, as well as the indivisual context completing the form,
I found myself caught by thr hook, and reeled in with the motion of the meaning, awsomely invented
in all subtlely, whimsical and fun to read babbs...your talent always outshines the brightest star
no matter what it is you put your mind to
