Falling In Love Under the Moon

Just me romanticizing ...

Beating hearts uniting,

Together, but so far apart.

There’s a chill in the air,

But warmth inside of me,

I’m gazing at you in your sleep

But longing to hold you near.

You move, hair spilling over your face,

And I take in a sharp breath.

My heart begins to beat heavily,

I’m afraid it will wake you

And my hand flies to muffle the sound.

Through the window,

Stars gaze down at us,

And the moon falls upon your face

Illuminating every detail,

I fall in love with you again

As you lie there in the moonlight.
