I should write something

I should write something

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu

I should write something today
from the ink of my tears
from my insecurities and worries
from those thousands of worldly fears.

My pen shall leave an impression
on every single page of my heart
so that I can lose me into myself
with this one lovely art.

I should incarnate my emotions
into the words hidden in my scars
and those voiceless songs behind my eyes
shall echo their purity like orions and stars.

And those little poetry pieces
that have been
fused into my synapses
as time has unfolded its hues
I shall drag them out from my numbness.

I should keep some of them for myself
Some of them I can put on walls
My fingers can grow more and write more
before this glared pen falls...

I like your writing a lot..
You have every ingredient in your work which will cater to everyone.
the initial lines themselves prove the depth of your poem.

Your expressive words focus on the mind or intellect. This is one of the things which separates us from the animals, namely, our ability to describe the world around us in poetic form. Although it feels a little 'sciency' with words like 'synapses' and 'orion' it still works very well. It's very descriptive and presents vivid contrasts. Nicely done!

This is divine. The third stanza especially hurt so good. Loved it.

Wow. This almost made me cry. Because it's so relatable, so true. It's how most of us on here cope with life. Strangely, though, writers have a higher risk of commiting suicide, esp. those who write in first person. Just a random fact. I'm so weird. :P But outstanding poem! 100/100
