Escape

A mind like a maze, no one can escape.

Your mind was like a maze,
I couldn’t escape.
I remember the days,
I didn’t want to.

Your smile, your eyes,
beautiful as the skies.
Late nights together,
through the stormy weather.

Where did you go?
You aren’t there.
The real you left,
without a care.

I took my heart,
And I gave it to you.
When you died,
it did too.
