When I Am Queen

Inspired by Jack Off Jill's 'When I Am Queen' -- i was bored. I'm mainly just having fun with this.

When I am Queen,

Broken hearts will no longer exist,

Fallen tears will be no more

Forming in the sweet mist

 

No more war and sorrow

It is forbidden upon my land

My rules of the kingdom,

This is where I stand

 

Poets roam free,

Creating worlds all their own

Divine spirits in my clouds,

No person is ever to feel alone

 

My kingdom will be bright

Shining like gold upon the sun

Peace and serenity will linger

After the day is done.

You already are a queen - the queen of exquisite poetry! :)
However, if you ever start off an actual kingdom, I'll gladly exchange all of my current citizenships to leave in a place such as the one you've described.
The rhyming is great, the flow's very nice and mellow, and the concept is obviously excellent.
And to think you said you have no muse today.. ;)

Very vivid images, really interesting ideas!
Never heard the song (I'm stuck in 1984 music-wise. I still listen to Ultravox!) but this obviously doesn't need that knowledge to make it work.
