Scars

Scars

A Poem by Becca

Marks here and there.

Blood drops everywhere.

There are pieces of my heart,

Torn away from my soul.

I sense these things,

Controlling my life.

Scars are all that surround me.

Music and stars,

All leave a mark of their own.

I'm a body,

Detached from my soul,

Full of unwanted,

Unmarked scars.

Never to be put back together again.

Never to be fully understood.

Scars are a part of who I am.

And they are everywhere.

About
I'm 23 and I write poems to keep me sane. Poems are my way of getting out how I feel. When I'm upset, I tend to write more. But there are times where I will get randomly inspired and write something c.. more..
