Transitions

Transitions

A Poem by Rebecca Leigh

Im fatigued of being compartmentalized,
Kept separate and categorized,
like a predator in the zoo,
treated with caution,
and only placed as right or wrong
i dont have a voice,
or a right to an opinion,
my words dont count,
and although I am being replaced,
before my very eyes,
I feel sorrow above anger,
though some may escape from my hold,
things we once shared,
are now between you and a stranger.
I cant hold onto your past any longer,
we are growing up and apart,
rather than drag it out i will smile and say,
Thank you, good luck, and good bye,
You were a major part of my life,
for so long,
But as all phases do,
we too shall pass.

Well, to me.. you don`t look like a "predator in a zoo" but yeh.. "an Aphrodite in hearts". This poem`s expressing even shading the piece of your art with a new morn of light. The starting & the ending both are much different in this poem. At starting you described the worries of your beautiful mind but at the end of the piece, you`ve dispersed the pain of your fragrant heart in words to the world... Quiet impressive. Liked it!
