Green-Eyed Lie

Green-Eyed Lie

A Poem by Miss Marie Riorden.

Don't allow me to fly, clip off these wings

Leave me alone in this cage, full of all the other broken things

Those things you discarded, another one who came your way

Who thought they were yours, that they were there to stay

One by one, they all fell into this trap

Falling at your knees, crawling into your lap

Doing anything that would make you happy, please you

Even if it wasn't something right, even if it wasn't true

Because you led them on, just like you led me on

Following because I didn't know, didn't know how far I was gone

How much I was entranced by those eyes of green

That cast out that pretty gleam, the green mischievous sheen

It was only part of that plan, to lock us in this cage

To play us all like puppets, up on the big stage

And my wings are clipped, and in this cage I do sit

And now my dear I will admit

You lead us in here, just to leave us behind

With those eyes that have always shined

I'd do it again if I had the chance

Just to get on more glance

At those pretty green eyes

That were only full of lies

The flow is nice, had a bit of a Sub and Dom feel to it, not sure if that is what you were going for. But good.

I'm going to address this right now. I do take Read Requests, but that DOES NOT mean you need to RR me everything you write. And I do not read stories unless it's of my own free-will. So do not RR the.. more..
