Those who have served

This poem is for the soldiers that have served my country, this iis one way of thanking them, and love I will always love them.

These are our heros

This path they chose

They cannot be called zeros

With honor, they never loose

 

They serve for us and others

It is their strength and will

They serve with their sisters and brothers

Their blood for our freedom paid the bill

 

 

Author's Note

This poem was put on a poster at my school made for Vets when they came to our school. I was told by many of them it was a very honoring poem and I do hope everyone else that reads it likes it as much as they appreciated it. Enjoy.

This is only the third poem I have come across with in this forum with this topic. Indeed, these soldiers deserve our recognition. Before reading your poem, I was reading an essay about the courage of the soldiers just before reviewing your poem: they are, indeed, the only persons who put at stake their lives at every step of the way. Thank you for reminding people that we should not take for granted freedom!
