The Wall
A Poem by A. Kim Spradling
Are you a builder?
Mortar and stone
For a high price.
Gathered over time.
Heart into ice.
Bigger, taller,
Built it must be.
Inside the turmoil
No one can see.
Brick by brick
Up goes the wall.
Honest, true love!
Crumble and fall.
