Untitled Chapter 1A Story by Benito RinconesTwo writers, writing one sentence at a time, going back and forth, just for the thrill of writing. Is this story worth continuing?Once upon a time quite long ago, in the town of Chicago, there was a young man who sat in a bar in his finest suit. He was pondering life while sipping on his Scotch, when the prettiest woman walked in and happened to catch his eye. Her eyes were the most striking blue and her lips were painted a fiery red. He didn’t know how to pursue, he was taken by surprise, and he had never been struck like this before, who was this woman? He started to panic, the lovely lady was walking his way, and she seemed to glide towards him in her flowing white dress. This was the type of girl that you knew was
trouble, yet all that knowledge seemed to fade away just by the aura of her
presence. When she reached his table he scrambled to a stand, “Good evening ma’am,
I’m John, would you care to join me?” This was an absurd reaction from this
man, he has known nothing but pain, and yet offered to have this particular
girl sit with him. “Charmed I’m Sally, pay your tab, let’s get out of here
handsome.” Though hesitant at first, he did exactly what she said, and they
walked out of the bar together. “Anywhere in mind Miss Sally?” he said almost
scared of her answer. She looked at him with a slight smirk, and from that
moment he knew he was going to like the answer. “Your place will do.” He took
her to his car and they drove off heading to his home. “Nice place John, I’m
sure you’re wondering what a girl like me is doing asking a guy like you back to
his place with little more than a hello…you see John I’m in trouble and you’re
the only one who can help me.” She began to cry as she said this. “Me?” he
asked puzzled. “I’m nobody, how can I be the only one that can help you?” John was so perplexed by this statement she had made that he didn’t know what to do with himself. “Before you went to the bar tonight you were at Smith & Johnson for an interview weren’t you? You got the job didn’t you? You can get me in! I need to get in there one more time John! Please, I’ll do anything you have to help me John!” She had panic in her voice now, the fear in her eyes was starting to show and he was kicking himself in the butt for not seeing it before. What had he gotten himself into? “Why don’t you start from the beginning and tell me why you need to get back in there?” Frustrated she yelled “I don’t have time for that! Look will you help me or not?” A car door slams outside and before he knows it she runs out the back door in a hurry. He is quick to follow her, he doesn’t know what’s going on, but he knows that he is supposed to help her.
