Dust Off My Heart

this is an old one... My mind has been cluttered lately due to never having peace lol

everytime i think back
to where we began,
i fall apart.
my heart begins to melt.
sometimes i wish we'd never met.

 

i thought we were happy.
i knew that i wanted to be with you.
i thought you wanted to be with me too.
but it turned out that i was just game.
something for you to brag about

 

i got put up on the shelf.

 

damn... you broke my heart.
 

 

i sit alone in memories of you and i.
the dust collects upon my mind.
i sit so long
my skin begins to crack
in all my wondering whys.

 

what did i do?
what did i NOT do?
i cannot fathom.
i'm just left with this broken heart
and a box full of all our memories.
 

 

grey rainy day.
i take a walk to clear my
thoughts away.

 

i find a daisy to pick.
one petal
two petals
drop.
i guess he loves me not...

 

all this...

i try to accept
