This is a amazing story in the poetry. I love how you set-up the story and the language you used. Had a Alan Poe feel to the words.
"Shall he return?
Or not"
The ending, perfect dear Betty. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

A beautifully written, but heartbreaking story that I can tell you put your whole storytelling soul into. This really is a tale of push and pull, and unfortunately it seems someone let go and left the other to fall, and get back up on their own. I love how you mixed the story with the poem, yet still keeping with your poetic voice and metaphors. This is such a powerful piece and anyone who is still hanging onto outdated things would benefit from reading. A heartbreaking poem, but full of wisdom. Thank you so much for sharing.

in three tries, never got this far...perhaps my wedding car is just a lemon.
and we ask ourselves, should it be this much work?
I really like the story blended into this poem.

I’m not sure what to expect when I read the title, such a beautiful and sad color but it certainly suits this poem. It’s so well done and emotionally painful but so beautifully written that makes it so touching in so many ways. I’m actually flabbergasted by this piece and that rarely happens, my jaw actually dropped in awe. Dang B. you caught me off guard and I love it!!! Should he return? He should not, set her free to find what she needs if he can’t be it.

My love of poetry results from my love of art. As a painter I am able to express myself on a canvas. As a poet my words come from my heart, my moods, sometimes sad, mostly upbeat. I like to use vivid .. more..
