hmm. intriguing. the cougar seems to have captured her prey after thinking not. a case of, be careful what you wish for, you might get it perhaps? there is a subtle, alluring eroticism to this write. well done.

Today, I believe ladies such as this one are known as "cougars." They are eager for adventures with a younger man. In this offering, it appears at the end as though she has succeeded. Damn it, where was she when I was a young man?

The wait is what makes it painful, the wait with the uncertainty of what's going to happen, or will it ever happen, a minute feels like ages. But isn't it quite the paradox, u could admire the person for longer the wait is.

Ahhhh to be noticed!!! Nothing like getting attention for those you desire.
I enjoyed the end of this poem. There was a sense of hope when he opened the door for her. New opportunities new desires of the heart. What a wonderful thing.
Betty, I love this poem. It captures the quiet tension of desire and self‑confidence as an older woman weighs the risk of approaching youth. Your vivid descriptions, jawline, gray streaks, cautious glances, they all make the scene feel cinematic, while the final courteous doorway gesture delivers a satisfying twist of hope. The piece balances vulnerability and poise, showing that pursuit itself is a worthy effort. Wonderfully written.

If older men can snare a young female, then turn about is fair play. Let's hope the young fellow isn't just looking for a free ride. A heart is easily broken, after all. A fine poem.

This poem is soft and thoughtful. It shows an older woman quietly admiring a younger man, full of hope and curiosity. She watches him, unsure if he notices her, but just as she gives up, he surprises her with a kind gesture. It’s a gentle and sweet moment, full of quiet emotion. Lovely work! Thank you for sharing this !!!

The difference of ages between what might be a future - however brief, is a mystery before and could be afterwards! So, here we have what could well be a romance but not by any means, an easy one. Pause, wonder, think. Your mind is running wild, ticking over the possibilities! This is what, a
mysterious romance or a romantic mystery? There is a distinct difference between those possibilitie; methinks madame is a saucy wench daring to tread on glass! Fine writing - of course!
