Hello, Betty. I find this interesting. I like how you used sentence fragment lines. It has the sensation of a piece written in syllabic verse but I don't find a pattern for that. Did you write it by feel or did you follow a structure that I don't see?

No structure, just emotions...thanks for your comment!!!

Especially in times of illness and despair, its easy to have such a complicated relationship with time. It is the very thing that you are never certain brings you closer to demise or total healing, and that, I think, is both something to love and far. You do a fantastic job of encapsulating that feeling, and do it with the precision and expertise that I would only expect from you. This is a well written piece, and definitely deserving of some more reads. Well done!

This poem carries the tremor of fear and the slow pulse of hope in the same chest.
It’s gritty in its honesty, tender in its relief—watching someone rise makes the heart ache and soar at once.

Betty this one is like a letter, a snapshot in time of one's past and present state. It is hopeful and gathers strength. It is a wish and prayer for the future. Simply lovely

Dear Soren
Thank you always for your excellent review!!

This one reflects the situation of one whose "dear one" is on the mend from a serious illness. The speaker's stress is on full display, as it appears the tide could turn either way. Through it all, though, it appears there is still faith in the positive possibility. That is well, for faith can see us through the most difficult of times.

Breathing gets really hard when someone we love is in health crisis.
I just lost a poet friend over Christmas break. Instincts are to care and then a myriad of feelings.
Really so much heart in this.

My love of poetry results from my love of art. As a painter I am able to express myself on a canvas. As a poet my words come from my heart, my moods, sometimes sad, mostly upbeat. I like to use vivid .. more..
