PREMONITION

We sense something notable

yet the reality remains obscure

we can surmise but mother nature is stubborn and unpredictable

leaves us suspended, even haunted as to our suspicions

We prepare for the worst

darkness may prey upon us

we maneuver with forethought

dread all potentials that could transpire

our pulses race in anticipation

Could this be the destruction of all that we retain?

we lean on each other for hope, comfort, support and strength

When shall we behold the light on the other side?

only mother nature knows

Hi Betty, I like this a lot. There are lines that make me think, there is kind of a spooky, mix of emotions, a mood to the piece that I like. I live near Seattle, but this feels as if it could have been written by someone in our hurricane belt in the south, or tornado belt in the Midwest. Well done.
