Silver plates and golden spoons

Silver plates and golden spoons

A Poem by Husk mit navn

I gave you my heart on a silver plate, and you ate it with a golden spoon,

My fallen angel, my only savior, my sun and moon.

My constellation missed a star, and I met you,

Now I’m sucked into your galaxy and I can’t make it through.

The graveyard in my back is only growing larger,

As you bury your fingers in like an anchor.

A bit more creativity with this write...
would give this more...its not bad as is...
but there is something missing...
the title and style takes you in as a reader...
using the theme of space and silver/gold plate/spoon...
was a thumbs up for this work...

I like this, "...My constellation missed a star, and I met you,..." I also like the airiness of this romantic verse. Burying "fingers in like an anchor" is very expressive.

I like the contrast between the fun images and the somber topic.

"bury your fingers in like an anchor" is my favorite line.
