Retaliatory poetry

This poet weaves his heart's desires in ink;
spins webs of thought to catch the curious.
'Tween lines he hides surprise to make you think
that you've been caught in joy, like all of us.

With silk he pens his verse ... the trap is set;
spun love with hope to bait arachnid's prey.
Casts flights of fancy's fine poetic net ~
unique ideas from a mind at play.

Impaled upon a creeping spider's quill,
we poisoned readers read this writer's write.
There's no escape ~ we're paralyzed by will!
Wrapped up like bugs, we're happy for our plight.

If poetry that makes you smile is sought,
be careful, in will's web you might get caught.

Author's Note

willweb wrote a poem for me. Actually talked to me in the poem. The nerve of him! The dishonorable mention caused me to contemplate commiting poeticide. But I decided my only recourse was to write a poem about him. Expose him for the poetic predator he is ... feeding on our smiles like juicy flies.

I love to read a good book William. A book to take us to a better place.

His phrases amazes our minds and hearts in many ways. Poems that are all the craze that create smiles which on our face stays. Not at all just a phase. I'm convinced his pen is an instrument with which he plays songs to read for days and days. His venom leaves my brain in a poetic haze when that quill stings me, and in reviews he praises.

This is one interesting Sonnet Bill, I think its a sonnet anyways. Will's web is definitely a web I'd want to get trapped in. A poem that brings me delight, count me in!
